Techies Go Green member, Green Bubble, is proving that great packaging doesn’t have to be brand new. By specialising in reused packaging, they’ve already diverted 13,000 m² of bubble wrap—equivalent to 13 tonnes of plastic—from incineration and export.
If unrolled, that bubble wrap would stretch over 13 kilometres—longer than the journey from Dublin City Centre to Dublin Airport or a round-trip from Cork City Centre to Fota Wildlife Park. Instead of becoming waste, these materials are being reused, reducing Ireland’s demand for raw materials and lowering CO₂ emissions.
Green Bubble is leading the way in sustainable packaging solutions, giving materials like bubble wrap, foam rolls, hexacomb boards, and acetate sheets a second life. Their mission is clear: to reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and add value to packaging that would otherwise be discarded.
